Hello viewer, welcome to mixloaded.com.ng, this time, we present to you Vivo V25: Everything you need to know
Vivo has been building a decent reputation in recent years for solid smartphones that don’t cost the Earth.
Now, rumors are beginning to surface about what we will see when the Vivo V25 and Vivo V25 Pro hit the stage in the coming weeks. This is everything we know about the upcoming devices.
What happened to the Vivo V24?
While logic suggests that the successor to the Vivo V23 5G would be the Vivo V24 5G, the company has confirmed that it’ll instead be the V25 series announced in the coming weeks. That’s an odd move, but it’s not surprising when it comes to Vivo – the company has previously skipped the Vivo V22, jumping from V21 to V23 for seemingly no reason.
There are suspicions that it could be down to the inclusion of a 4 in the name – which has unlucky connotations in the Eastern market – but that doesn’t track with the previously-missed V22.
Maybe Vivo just really doesn’t like some numbers…
Either way, the next smartphones in Vivo’s V collection will be the Vivo V25 and Vivo V25 Pro.
When will the Vivo V25 be released?
Though Vivo usually works around a six-month refresh for its V range, the upcoming V25 range bucks that trend, coming in a couple of months after the expected June/July release.
Anonymous sources told the 91Mobiles Hindi that the Vivo V25 Pro will be revealed in India on 17 August 2022, with release set for a week later on 25 August 2022. While unconfirmed at the time, Vivo India took to Twitter to confirm the announcement just days later, with the Indian launch due to take place at 12pm local time on 17 August 2022.
It’s also worth noting that UK, US and European availability is yet to be confirmed. There are plenty of India-bound smartphones that don’t make it to Europe, after all!
How much will the Vivo V25 cost?
As with the release date, Vivo has yet to make any announcements about what the new device will cost. But we do have the previous models to use as a guide. Here are the prices for the last couple of V-series devices:
- Vivo V23: €499/₹29,990 (approx. £350/$470)
- Vivo V23 Pro: ₹38,990 (around £390/€460/$520)
- Vivo V21: £399/€399/₹29,990 (approx. $519)
Vivo has only recently started releasing devices outside of Asia and selected other regions, with Europe getting some models but not others. At the time of writing the Vivo V21 5G has arrived in the UK, but only at the end of 2021, while the V23 5G was only available through mainland Europe.
With this in mind, we don’t really know which territories will see the V25 or its rumoured Pro variants outside of India when they finally launch. US customers will need to import the phone though, as Vivo is one of many Chinese brands that don’t have representation in America.
What specs and features will we see in the Vivo V25?
This also remains an area of speculation, with a few rumours suggesting how the new model will shape up when it’s released – in fact, most rumours up until now have been focused on the more powerful V25 Pro model.
As a pointer, here are the specs for the V23 5G, which will probably end up quite similar to the standard V25:
- Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12

Many of the reports we’ve seen have pointed to a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor being the silicon of choice for the V25. This seems dubious though, as the Dimensity 920 in the V23 5G is a better chip. MyGadgetNews goes with the MediaTek Dimensity 920, which we think is the more likely selection.
Most rumours suggest that Vivo will use a 6.44in AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate once more, and the same 64Mp+8Mp+2Mp camera configuration that featured in the V23 5G.
The good news is that the Pro model is said to get a more impressive boost, with a leaked Geekbench benchmark listing pointing towards the inclusion of the same Dimensity 1300 found in the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2T and Oppo Reno 8.
The leaked listing also suggests it’ll be available in more than one variant, with listings for both 8GB and 12GB versions of the V25 Pro on the Geekbench database.
It’s also said to offer an upgraded selfie camera experience with its 32Mp selfie camera, complete with OIS capabilities.
The Pro model is also said to arrive with the same colour-changing Fluorite AG Glass on its rear, and it’ll also sport 66W fast charging.
