FIFTY FIFTY (피프티 피프티) is a South Korean girl group under ATTRAKT, consisting of 4 members, Aran, Keena, Saena, and Sio. They debuted on November 18, 2022, with the mini album The Fifty. The EP became a sleeper hit after gaining critical acclaim and was praised for its sound.
The group returned in February of 2023 with the single album The Beginning: Cupid. Both versions of the title track, “Cupid” became viral hits and earned the group their first Billboard Hot 100 hit. FIFTY FIFTY became the fifth Korean girl group to enter the chart and the fastest Korean group to do so.
On “Cupid (Twin Version)” FIFTY FIFTY find themselves in a love situation as they think Cupid is a dumb lie, while they still thirst for a lover. The song gives the listener the perfect Valentine’s feel with a taste of light dance-pop. Additionally, this is the second track to their single album of the same name.
The song is the “twin version” of “Cupid” due to being sung only by members Aran and Sio and the change of lyrics—which is that this song is the English version, and the other is the original, with Korean lyrics. The single blew up throughout social media for its catchiness and simplistic genre.
